In Turkey following the terrorist act committed by the banned terrorist organization Islamic State (IS) in Istanbul, mass arrests of individuals on international wanted lists are taking place. A significant portion of those detained are Chechens who were forced to leave their homeland due to politically and religiously motivated persecution by the occupying forces of Russia. We condemn the actions of terrorists and express our condolences to the families of the deceased! We consider Turkey a friendly country to Chechens and urge the Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkey, Ali Erlika, to adhere to the presumption of innocence and not to deport Chechens based on fabricated accusations by the Russian side. For Chechens persecuted by Russia, deportation to this country would be a death sentence.Respectfully,
Political Party of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria "Voice of Chechnya"
